Olga Kulakova is a certified teacher of the second level of Mandala Dance. She is from Russia — her home town is Ufa — and she teaches the practice both there and in France, in Paris and other cities. In this video message (recorded in French) she explains why she fell in love with the dance as soon as she saw a video of Maya, what her first practice awakened in her, and why she calls Mandala Dance a sacred dance that reconnects a woman with her original feminine force.

Olga has practised different styles of dance since she was very little — oriental dances, couple dances and other forms. She says she always looked for depth and meaning in dance, and that this is exactly what she found in Mandala Dance. Her first encounter with it came through Maya's video; she fell in love with the dance right away. For her it is a sacred dance — one that allows you, at a deep level, to reconnect with the original feminine force.
When Olga practised Mandala Dance for the first time, she says she immediately felt that she is truly a woman. She describes feeling what it is to be a woman — how to live in a woman's body, how to feel one's femininity, and what natural femininity is. Mandala Dance, she says, was the first spiritual practice she had ever practised, and she understood at once that it was her practice — a place where she could develop deeply. She now passes it on as a second-level teacher, and she is grateful that the dance was transmitted to her by its creator, Maya.
"I am sure that this dance could help many women to rediscover themselves, to discover that they are a woman, truly a woman, to harmonise their inner world, to express themselves with grace and to enliven their energy."
Olga describes how the practice connects two directions at once: it allows women to reconnect with Mother Earth — to feel truly rooted — and, at the same time, to reconnect with the sky, with their spirit. In her words, the sky allows us to harmonise the feminine and masculine parts and to keep them together. She ends her message simply, with an invitation to practise the dance.
