We realized what a great marriage of feminine energies we had — me bringing in the music, she bringing in this sacred temple dance.Peruquois — an Australian vocalist, creator of the "Vocal Yoga" and "Vocal Tantra" practices, touring since 1997
Peruquois (stage name of Peruquois Frances) is an Australian vocalist touring since 1997, creator of over 50 practices and 20+ online courses for women, and founder of the "Vocal Yoga" and "Vocal Tantra" methods. The press has called her "The Voice of the Sacred Feminine." Long before meeting Maya in person, her music was already part of the Mandala Dance practice — and when they finally met in India, they realized they had formed a rare union of two feminine creative forces: sacred voice and temple dance.
According to Peruquois, Maya was already using some of her music in her practice before they ever met in person — and once they met face to face in India, they both recognized what a strong union they had formed between two feminine forces: music and sacred temple dance. She describes Mandala Dance as a practice that is "so deep and nourishing for a woman's body and soul," one that "is spreading all around the world" — and believes every woman should explore it.
"She is an amazing teacher, and I'm so inspired that this practice is spreading all around the world."

After a spiritual crisis at the height of her success, she left her career in Australia and spent years studying with teachers from Native American and Indian traditions. Touring internationally since 1997, she has performed for audiences of thousands and led women's practices for thousands of participants. She is the creator of the "Vocal Yoga" and "Vocal Tantra" methods, more than 50 practices for women, and over 20 online courses; the international press (including the Baltic Times and LA Weekly) has called her "The Voice of the Sacred Feminine."

Something else. Peruquois isn't a workshop participant — she's a creative collaborator: her music was already part of the Mandala Dance practice before she and Maya met in person, and after meeting in India their collaboration continued both in music and in joint projects.
The exact date this testimonial was recorded is unknown — Peruquois herself describes meeting in India "about ten years ago." Her music, however, was already used in the Mandala Dance practice before that in-person meeting.
Mandala Dance is the practice Peruquois creates music for, and the foundation of her years-long creative partnership with Maya.
