And now I feel myself very, very calm. I feel so much energy in me. And I think this is just the beginning. I mean, all that process, it's going to bloom in time.Maria Doncheva — a participant in the "Basics of Life" workshop, originally from Bulgaria and living in the UK

Maria Doncheva is originally from Bulgaria and lives in the UK. She had attended many seminars before, yet she calls the "Basics of Life" workshop with Maya Mandala "an amazing concept." In this short video she describes what she takes home: a feeling of deep calm, a lot of energy, and a new willingness to give the people close to her more time. She also describes what she noticed about the group — that people from different countries, speaking different languages, can still cry, dance and laugh together.
Maria speaks simply and directly about the change she feels. She came in having attended many seminars, and left with a sense of acceptance, calm and energy that she describes as just the beginning — a process that "is going to bloom in time." One of her first intentions is relational: to give her family, her partner and her friends more time, and to stop rushing them as she used to.
"I find here so many friends. I find myself."
One of Maria's clearest reflections is about time. People often say life is too short and there is never enough of it — but, she says, at the workshop she found that awareness turned that idea around: "All of us, we have absolutely enough time for everything." It is a small, practical realisation, and she frames it as the beginning of a longer process.
Maria also speaks about the people she met at the workshop. What struck her, she says, is that a difference of language does not stand in the way of shared feeling — of crying in the same way, dancing together, or laughing together. In her words, that shared ground meant that "all of us, we are from the same world."
