Mandala Dance is such a beautiful practice, because you can actually dance and meditate at the same time. For me it's deeply transforming, and it takes me directly to my source. It gives me awareness, and also heals my body and balances my mind.Kretel Viirsaar — a Mandala Dance teacher from Estonia, and a writer on the wellness portal Hingele Pai

Kretel Viirsaar is a Mandala Dance teacher from Estonia. She completed the first level of the practice in the summer of 2018 and now leads her own classes. Two years ago she invited Maya Mandala to Estonia with the workshop "Life as a Great Dance" — and that is where her own connection to the practice deepened. In this short video she explains why she loves it: it is a way to dance and to meditate at the same time, and, for her, a practice that heals the body and balances the mind.
Kretel speaks from the perspective of someone who has both attended and hosted. She describes the energy at Maya's workshops as very powerful — enough, in her experience, that after six or seven days you come out, in her words, "totally healed and transformed." Alongside Mandala Dance she practises breathwork therapy, Byron Katie work, Sadhguru meditations and yoga, so her recommendation comes from a wide background of inner work.
"So if you too love to dig deep into your own essence, if you love beautiful feminine dances, if you enjoy meditation, then I highly recommend Mandala Dance for you as well."
Maya Mandala is a practitioner and teacher, creator of the Mandala Dance method, and leader of programs on working with the body, femininity and masculinity, and tantric and contemplative practices. Her seminars and retreats take place both in Russia and abroad.
