I saw how many years I had kept my feminine part in the dark, how I had ignored my inner truth and my female nature. But with the support of Maya, and with Mandala Dance practice, I was opening — and I am still opening and exploring the depths of my primordial female nature.Diana Krikščiūnienė — a certified Mandala Dance instructor (Level 2), conscious breathing and rebirthing instructor, Vilnius, Lithuania

Diana Krikščiūnienė is a certified Mandala Dance instructor from Vilnius, Lithuania, and a conscious breathing and rebirthing instructor. In this video she describes a long search for a deeper meaning of life — through yoga, meditation and Reiki — and the realisation that she had been choosing only male teachers, while quietly failing to respect femininity in others and in herself. Her turning point came when she met Maya Mandala and the practice of Mandala Dance, which she says opened her to her own female nature, her creativity and a meaningful self-realisation.
Diana used to dance a great deal as a child and in her school years, and dance was an important part of her life — but at some point, she says, she lost dance from her life and found herself longing for it. In parallel she was always looking for the deeper meaning of human life, and of her own existence. She tried different styles of yoga, meditation and Reiki energy healing, and took part in workshops and seminars, looking for the core of who she really is and for a way of meaningful self-realisation.
One day she says she faced a truth about her own search: every teacher, master and guru she had been drawn to was a man, and she realised she had carried a strong inner belief that knowledge coming from men was somehow more valuable, more wise, more intelligent. With that came a painful recognition — that she had not been respecting femininity, neither in other women nor in herself. Out of that recognition grew a clear intention: to find a master in a feminine body, an authority from whom she could learn what she had forgotten about herself as a woman.
Not long after, a friend shared her fascination with Maya Mandala and the Mandala Dance practice. Diana says that as soon as she heard and saw Maya, she felt a deep inner calling to get to know everything Maya shares, and she took part in her seminar, "Life as a Great Dance." She describes it as a space where she experienced transformative and healing processes she had never felt before — and where she began to open to her feminine nature, to her creativity, to her talents, and to a deeper self-realisation. Diana now teaches the practice herself, meeting with women twice a week.
"Mandala Dance is a space of consciousness, a space of being here and now, a space of harmonizing and uniting our body and soul."
Diana describes the changes she sees as practical and far-reaching. The physical body becomes stronger, and at the same time more flexible and soft. Women become more relaxed, more open, more loving, and more connected with everything around them. The mind becomes more flexible too: less reactive, able to choose more consciously how to respond, and so able to create a more conscious life. She speaks of learning to transform feelings such as guilt, fear, anger and envy into love, compassion, forgiveness, understanding and peace — and of learning to accept one's deep sexuality and sacred femininity, creating life from authenticity and from the heart.
